In Wob’s World, we care for Wob in her own home in Holland, MI. We assist Wob with daily living activities such as household chores, personal hygiene, transportation, doctor visits, individualized skill development, and participation in community activities.
Some essential duties and responsibilities include:
following and administering person-centered plan (IPOS)
following and administering behavioral plan (BTP)
following and cooking a prescribed diet
taking steps to ensure safety in emergencies
required training provided
thinking clearly and responsibly while staying calm in an emergency
aiding with grooming, personal hygiene, and toileting needs
executing daily household chores (such as laundry, cooking, cleaning, and more)
maintaining confidentiality
reading and comprehending client programs, data sheets, and various written instructions
We are looking for someone who:
is high energy and enthusiastic, who will engage with Wob & take her out into the community
is active and enjoys athletic activities, indoor games, reading, and puzzles
is strongly committed to providing quality care for Wob
Is able and willing to assist with medication adminsitration (training available)
is willing and able to complete and pass required paid trainings including; First Aid, Recipient Rights, Universal Precautions, and other courses required for applicable services
MANDT & CPR (ALSO PAID)
is willing and able to complete and pass any other physical intervention, behavior modification, or further required training set forth by the State of Michigan
is comfortable with technology, AAC device, smart home features, and willing to learn
someone who enjoys a challenge and a fast paced work environment
We are looking for staff to cover weekday shifts, with flexible hours and scheduling. Pay starting at $18/hour including paid training.
This is an entry level direct care provider position with opportunities for advancement.
